Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 tbsp black gram lentils 2tbsp green gram lentils 2tbsp Bengal gram splits


  • 2 tbsp black gram split


  • 2 tomatoes


  • 2 green chillies


  • 1 inch ginger


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp red chilli powder


  • 2 tbsp ghee


  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1 tsp kasoori methi


  • 1/4 tsp hing


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder

Directions

  • Wash and soak all the lentils for 15minutes
  • Now add 1 glass water and salt and turmeric powder and let it cook in pressure cooker for 2 whistles
  • Turn off the flame and let the pressure release
  • Meanwhile heat ghee in a pan
  • Crackle cumin seeds and hing
  • Add chopped tomatoes and ginger
  • Add chilli powder, garam masala powder and kasoori methi
  • Fry till tomatoes are soft
  • Add this spice mixture in boiled lentils
  • Again cook for 5 minutes at sim flame
  • Turn off the flame and serve garnish with fresh cilantro
